ENTRIES

  1. Entry Fees:

50km Ultra Marathon: R490 (Payment instalments accepted – see website)

21km Wild Challenge: R350

10km Tough Run: R120 (Including Athletics Mpumalanga levy)

Race Shirts: Long sleeve (50km & 21km): R180 | Shortsleeve (10km): R150

50km Ultra Marathon: 3500 participants 21km Wild Challenge: 1500 participants 10km Tough Run: 500 participants

  1. Closing Date: 7 April 2026 @ 17h00

Deadline for Race Shirt orders 10 March 2026. Only paid entries received before this date will be confirmed by SMS/email. Official race t-shirts will only be issued to these entries who have placed an order therefore.

We regret no wheelchairs allowed.

TEMPORARY LISCENCES

Available from the Race Administration Office @ R50 each (21km & 10km). BOOK AND PAY WITH ENTRY. As per ASA rule 25.6.4 – temporary licences may only be issued for our 10km & 21km events. As per WA & ASA rule – Temporary Licences are not available for the 50km Loskop Ultra Marathon. Temp Licence for Ultra Marathons may only be sold to accommodate foreign athletes in local competitions.

WATER POINTS & REFRESHMENT STATIONS

Refreshment stations will provide Coke and Purified Water Sachets.

  • 50km Ultra: Every 3km for the first half and every 2.5km for the second half
  • 21km Wild Challenge: every 3km
  • 10km Tough Run: every 2.5km

COURSE RECORDS

A time incentive bonus will be used this year and will be paid to the first athlete per category to finish within the set time and are as follows:

 

  • Men: 02:44:03 (R15 000)
  • Women: 03:14:37 (R15 000)
  • 40+ Men: 02:47:34 (R2 000)
  • 40+ Women: 03:27:03 (R2 000)

THE FINISH

  • 50 km Ultra, 21km Wild Challenge & 10km Tough Run will finish at Loskop Dam, a Forever Resort
  • Athletes will receive a maximum of three (3) entry vouchers to the Resort. These vouchers will be attached to you race number. Should you enter the Resort prior to collecting your free entry vouchers, you must pay the normal entry fee. You may then redeem these vouchers, with proof of payment, for a refund at the reception.
  • Only runners wearing official race numbers clearly visible on the front of their race shirts will be allowed to enter the finish area.

 

PRIZE GIVING

  • Winners MUST redeem their prize-vouchers at the Podium after the prize giving BEFORE 15H00
  • Trophies, gold medals and other prizes will be awarded after the races. Prize-giving will take place at the stage area next to the finish line.
  • PLEASE NOTE: Official prize-giving times: 10km @ 11h00, 21km @ 11h30 & 50km @ 12h00

 

TOG BAGS

Transport of tog bags will be available from all start venues to the finish at Loskopdam, free of charge (at owners own risk). Use the number tags provided to collect your bag at the finish. PLEASE USE YOUR OWN PLASTIC BAG IN CASE IT RAINS as the vehicles used are open truck / trailer!

PHOTOS

Runners’ photos will be taken by Action Photo and may be used for marketing.

BUS TRANSPORT 50km ONLY (Pre-booked and pre-paid ONLY)

  • Bus transport will be provided to the 50km START in Middelburg from Loskop Dam.
  • Busses will depart strictly from 04h00 – 04h45. Only 750 tickets available. One per athlete
  • Tickets will be allocated on a first come first serve basis and the ATHLETES only.
  • NO TRANSPORT WILL BE AVAILABLE FROM MIDDELBURG TO RESORT. ATHLETES ARE REMINDEDTHAT THE ROAD (N11) TO LOSKOP WILL CLOSE AT 05H00.
  • Busses returning to Middelburg leaves from 13h00. Last bus leaves Loskop at 14h00!
  • Bus tickets must be pre-booked with race entry at a cost of R100 per ticket.
  • NO bus tickets will be sold separately or on race day.

FREE SHUTTLE SERVICE: 21km & Fun Run (Athletes ONLY)

A free shuttle service to drop off athletes at the registration / start of the 21km & Fun Run will be provided from the Resort Main Entrance / N11 from 05h00! 06h10 is the LAST BUS. (Strictly no spectators/parents/supporters)

 

RACE T-SHIRT

  • NO FREE RACE T-SHIRTS. Please see merchandise to place orders for race t-shirts. Orders need to be placed before 10 March 2026.
  • Sizes will be allocated on availability upon entry / order.
  • Race Shirts will be distributed in the ­finish tunnel.
  • Non-finishers / non-starters: Ordered Race Shirts can only be collected from 13h00 – 14h00 ON RACE DAY at the finish tunnel – Sizes subject to availability.
  • NO Race Shirt will be couriered after the event.

 

MAKE YOUR CONTRIBUTIONTO CONSERVATION

PLEASE contribute to conservation in the Loskop Nature Reserve:

  • Make a contribution to Friends of Loskop Conservation Fund with your entry, or
  • ENTER your family in the RHINO FUN RUN.

THE 4.9km RHINO FUN RUN

  • This family Fun Run takes place on Saturday 25 April 2026, from the DAMWAL SLAGHUIS. You may enter on race day at the start from 05h00. R50 per entry and contributes towards the FRIENDS OF LOSKOP CONSERVATION FUND. No prize money will be awarded but all finishers will receive a medal.
  • Walkers are also welcome. The Fun Run starts at 06h45.

Race Rules

  • 2026 License numbers must be worn. Race number on the front of your vest.
  • As per ASA rule 25.6.4 – temporary licences may only be issued for our 10km & 21km events. As per WA & ASA rule – Temporary Licences are not available for the 50km Loskop Ultra Marathon. Temp Licence for Ultra Marathons may only be sold to accommodate foreign athletes in local competitions.
  • Offi­cial timing chip is attached to your race number.
  • NO CHIP = NO RESULT = NO RACE HISTORY
  • Licensed runners must wear club colours; other runners should be neatly dressed in accordance with ASA rules.
  • To prevent disqualification, obey all referees and traffic officers / officials.

Minimum age on race day as defined by ASA & WA rules:

  • 10km: The minimum age is 14 years of age on race day
  • 1km: The minimum age is 16 years of age on race day; and
  • 50km Ultra: 20 years of age on race day.

Identification and proof of age must be provided upon request on race day.

Athletes competing for category prizes must wear age category tags on both front and back of their vests. Category tags MUST be visible. They must complete the race before 11h30 to be eligible for prizes.

Time limits will apply as follows (NO SECONDS ALLOWED):

  • 1km – 4 hours 00 Minutes.
  • 50km Ultra – 7 hours 00 Minutes.
  • 50k Cut-off Times: 25km (3:45), 36km (5:15), 42km (06h00)
  • Submitting medical information is compulsory and entrant’s responsibility
  • The referee’s decision is final.
  • Run under the rules of ASA and WA.
  • Walkers may participate with no additional time allowed. Cut-off times as above apply.
  • No walkers category prizes.
  • Run clean – any athlete accused of irresponsible disposing of litter other than into/at provided refuse bins may be subject to disciplinary action, and if found to be in contravention of any race rules / laws will be disqualified and subject to future bans.
  • Voluntary seeding. Walkers and slow runners please refrain from starting in the front – this is for you own benefit and safety.
  • Runners to check all information on their race pack/envelope BEFORE leaving the registration desk. Report any errors to the administration team at the info desk.
  • Random drug testing, under the auspices of Drug Free Sport and ASA will be conducted.
  • Time incentive prizes will be paid into the recipient’s bank account only once full doping results are received by the organisers.
  • Substitution will be allowed at a cost of R250 until Friday 24 April 2026. Substitutions will only be done at the Race Number collection venues. NO substitutions will be done on Saturday morning, 25 April 2026 at either venue. Race t-shirt for the substitute is the shirt (size) originally purchased by the athlete.
  • No permanent number can be substituted.
  • International Athletes – ensure that you are in possession of a clearance letter from your national body as per WA Rule.
